2008 ... a good year for Field Chickweed ... it was popping up everywhere.

I was more familiar with garden chickweed (Stella media) so was surprised to find that this plant was called Chickweed as well. We always fed a little of the garden chickweed to our budgie.

Field Chickweed is a perennial.

Mostly used as a charm for all the good things in life to come ones way. The stems of this plant are sticky and bloom in the evenings/nights and is pollinated by moths. The flower portion can look wizened during the day.
