Tiger Lily

The bulbs of this lily were eaten by most First Nation peoples. The bulbs are reported to have a peppery taste but I haven't tried them myself ... yet. I found the seed pods so interesting ... to see how they gradually become unlaced. Such an artistic way of letting their seeds spew forth! Like undoing their corsets at the end of the day and letting everything spill out!

Meandering

How often we race through life, totally oblivious to the beauty that lies around us. Even when we go for a walk, it is to “burn off calories”, see how fast we can get this over with all to get home and do what? Watch T.V.? I invite you on a walk through our awe inspiring countryside. Try meandering along … take note of this little insect, that little bird, this little plant. Really look at things. Slow down! Enjoy. Start to become in tune with all of creation. Truly relax ... enjoy!
