Willowherb

"Willowherb" (Epilobium ciliatum??)

These plants hybridize readily so I am loathe to name the species though I think this one is Epilobium ciliatum. This plant grows in moist locations ... I found the picture from September 17th at a different lake than the last 3 pictures.

How to Use

In the blog archive you will find (for the most part) that plants have been listed alphabetically after their common names. If there is a brand new post, I leave it at the top for a couple of days before slotting it in alphabetically. New pictures are being added in to existing files all the time ... now that spring/summer is here.

Meandering

How often we race through life, totally oblivious to the beauty that lies around us. Even when we go for a walk, it is to “burn off calories”, see how fast we can get this over with all to get home and do what? Watch T.V.? I invite you on a walk through our awe inspiring countryside. Try meandering along … take note of this little insect, that little bird, this little plant. Really look at things. Slow down! Enjoy. Start to become in tune with all of creation. Truly relax ... enjoy!
