"Baneberry" (Actaea rubra)

2007 September 9Though I haven't seen this plant in our immediate area ... I did find these up in the Prince George area. The book says that all parts of this plant are poisonous ... I thought I'd post these pictures anyway just in case you came across the plant in your travels ... to give you fair warning lest you be tempted to try one of the berries. (They do sort of look like False Solomon Seal berries only larger, and the leaves are quite different).
