Cinquefoil: Norwegian

"Norwegian Cinquefoil" (Potentilla norvegica)
Other common names: Rough Cinquefoil, Strawberry Weed. I let this plant grow in my garden because I thought it was a wild strawberry, only it grew and grew until it looked like this:

I love your photographs! I have been a wildflower devotee all my life, and yet it is only now in my 40s that I have the time and discipline to make a serious study of them. Beautiful stuff here.

Hi again,
I was actually surfing the net,
trying to find that the astragulus agrestis is very fragrant.
or am I the only one that knows?

Thanks Cicero!
I took my husband with me for a snif. And my Astragulus agrestis do smell sweet.
It's all a mystery.

I love your June 24 photo of the Norwegion cinquefoil. I enjoy it in my garden too. For it's dark and beautiful leaves, and for a little sprinkle of yellow.
I love it that you mention the fairies in your blog. It's a Fairy world out there!
